Indo-German Workshop on Chemical Biology of Infectious Diseases

Date:
Tuesday, January 21, 2014 to Wednesday, January 22, 2014
Venue:
National Institute Of Immunology, New Delhi

Max-Planck-Gesellschaft (MPG) and the National Institute of Immunology (NII), New Delhi organized an Indo-German Workshop on Chemical Biology of Infectious Diseases on 21st-22nd January 2014 at NII. Led by Prof. Peter H. Seeberger from Max Planck Institute for Colloids and Interfaces, Berlin (MPI-KG), scientists from MPI-KG and several leading Indian research institutes convened at NII to identify common goals and discuss collaborative solutions for challenges facing the field of infectious disease research. Participants presented their research results on a variety of diseases including leishmaniasis, tuberculosis, malaria, typhoid, filariasis, HIV and dengue. The workshop was a huge success and was generously funded by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India and Max-Planck-Gesellschaft (MPG), Germany.
