Saturday, November 11, 2017 to Sunday, November 12, 2017
C-301 (NKN), IISER Guest House

In the highly competitive world of research, it is often difficult for young researchers to compete with the researchers with proven research track records and established research contacts for common funding modules. Hence, the importance of opportunities for “Early-Stage researchers” and “Early Career Researchers” has increased manifold in order to keep the interest of young researchers in science.

The main objective is to prepare the young scientists/scholars for the world of science and funding with the focus on wide spectrum of German Research Landscape and the opportunities for Indo-German collaboration for young researchers. It will also provide comprehensive information on application procedure, visa procedure and general administrative issues. This workshop will also focus on the transition from the PhD research to early career research.

An opportunity to interact with representatives of German universities, research institutions and funding organization as well as academic program managers from Germany will be an ideal platform for participants to prepare a tool kit with tips to prepare themselves for the world of “science”. The focus on young researcher will help in further development of a fruitful long term scientific collaboration.
