The "Deutsches Wissenschafts- und Innovationshaus" (DWIH, the German Centre for Research and Innovation) is a joint endeavor of the Federal Foreign Office (Auswärtiges Amt - AA) and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung - BMBF) to intensify international cooperation. Five DWIHs have been set up in five countries around the world under this initiative. Four of these have been established in São Paulo (Brazil), Moscow (Russia), New York (USA) and Tokyo (Japan). The fifth DWIH has been set up in New Delhi (India) as the "German Centre for Research and Innovation" and is coordinated by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Overall, it is a consortium of 15 organizations.
